Younger Scholars Workshop

The Immortality Project is pleased to announce a Younger Scholars Workshop sponsored by the John Templeton Foundation.

The workshop will take place on May 23-27, 2015, on the campus of the University of California, Riverside.

The workshop will include presentations by John Martin Fischer (UCR), Benjamin Mitchell-Yellin (UCR), Andrew Bailey (Yale/National University of Singapore), Justin Coates (University of Houston), and Patrick Todd (University of Edinburgh), and Heinrik Hellwig (UCR).

The members of the workshop will be invited to the Capstone Conference of the Immortality Project, to be held immediately after the workshop: May 28-30, 2015.

All expenses (for both the workshop and the conference) and a modest honorarium will be paid.

Call for Applications

The selection committee will choose 8 participants for the workshop from among those who apply. Recent PhDs (within the past 5 years) and advanced graduate students in fields related to the research aims of the grant (e.g., philosophy, theology, psychology, neuroscience, biology, medicine) whose research focuses on issues related to immortality are encouraged to apply.
